Bib Number and T-Shirt Pickup
You must pick up your bib number and T-shirt at the La Jolla Half Marathon expo. Be prepared to show your photo ID to claim your bib number. You may designate a person to pick up your bib number but they must present a copy of your picture ID – no exceptions. *The 2014 La Jolla Half Marathon expo location and details are TBD.
Race Day Bib Number Pickup
If you’re unable to attend the La Jolla Half Marathon expo and need to pick up your bib number on race day, select the Race Day Bib Number Pickup Convenience option during your registration ($20). Your bib number will be available for pickup from the start on race day between 6 and 7:15 a.m. Anyone attempting to pickup their bib number on Sunday who hasn't paid the $20 fee will be required to pay onsite. Race shirts will be available for pick up at the finish line in La Jolla Cove.
Timing and Race Results
New this year, we'll be using ChronoTrack's B-Tag timing system to score our event. Official results and age group awards will be based on your chip time (net time on the course). Course record cash awards will be based on gun time. All runners must attach the timing device as instructed or they will not be timed and ineligible for any award. Results will be posted in the finish line area and also after the race at www.lajollahalfmarathon.com.
Race Day Parking
Race day parking is available at the Del Mar Racetrack; however, it will be VERY BUSY! Delays getting in are guaranteed. Be sure to give yourself an extra thirty to forty-five minutes travel time before the race. We also strongly suggest you carpool if possible. You may also park at the La Jolla Cove and take a shuttle from the Cove to the start line at the Del Mar Racetrack. These shuttles will run from 5 a.m. to 6 a.m. Please note that the last shuttle leaves the Cove promptly at 6 a.m.
Race Day Gear Check
You may check your gear on race morning at both the half marathon and 5K start lines at the Gear Check area.
