Starting at the Del Mar Race Track/Fairgrounds, the La Jolla Half Marathon family of events attracts more than 8,000 runners, providing them with spectacular views along the Pacific coastline as it winds through the town of Del Mar to the coast then south by Torrey Pines Golf Course and the campus of UCSD to La Jolla Shores Beach before finishing at Scripps Park at the Cove.
The La Jolla Shores 5K starts simultaneously with the Half Marathon and proceeds along the final five thousand meters, roughly 3.1 miles, of the Half Marathon course. The two events have earned a reputation that attracts runners from throughout the United States (44 states last year), and 28 runners from outside the USA.

Levels of sponsorship range from Platinum Sponsor at $10,000 to Water Station and Product Booth Sponsor at $500. Water Station/Product Booth
Water Station/Booth Sponsors $500 to $999
As a Water Station or Product Booth Sponsor you will receive the following:
Water Station – Corporate signage at a water station on the Half Marathon course. A minimum of twelve volunteers are required to staff the station.
Product Booth – Corporate signage on a 10’x10’ space with a table at the finish line where you can display and give away product samples to all participants. Products must be approved in advance by event directors.
Event Beneficiaries
The La Jolla Kiwanis Foundation supports many community groups as a result of the fund raising efforts of the Kiwanis Club of La Jolla. The La Jolla Half Marathon and the La Jolla Shores 5K that will take place on Sunday, April 17, 2011, are the Club’s largest fund raising efforts of the year.
